Timothy McDonough

Tim retired as a Lieutenant with the Burlington, Massachusetts Police Department with 34 years of service. He was the supervisor of the firearms/defensive tactics training unit for 17 years. He was instrumental in building relationships during inter-departmental training between fire and police for Active Shooter/Rescue Task Force. Tim was a member of the North Eastern    

Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) SWAT team for 25 years. He served as a team leader, squad leader and retired as operations sergeant. Tim has responded to hundreds of high-risk critical incidents. During his time with NEMLEC SWAT, the team was awarded the 2007 George L. Hanna award for bravery by Governor Romney for actions during a hostage situation.    

Tim has attended many of the most prestigious law enforcement/tactical training in the country and is certified at the state and federal level in many disciplines, such as active shooter instructor, firearms instructor, defensive tactics instructor and taser instructor. He holds a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from Western New England University.
